General Workers at the Safripol KZN Main Warehouse play an essential support role in daily logistics and warehouse operations. In this role, you will primarily assist truck drivers with the loading and offloading of vehicles, maintain the cleanliness and safety of the warehouse premises and surrounding areas, perform general cleaning and housekeeping duties, and carry out any ad-hoc tasks as instructed by the supervisor.

Key Responsibilities of a General Worker
Loading & Offloading Assistance
- Assist truck drivers with the loading and offloading of vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
- Handle goods, materials, and equipment correctly to prevent damage or injury during loading and offloading operations.
- Follow all safety procedures and supervisor instructions during vehicle loading and offloading activities.
- Ensure loads are handled in accordance with health and safety requirements at all times.
Premises Maintenance & Housekeeping
- Clean the entire warehouse premises thoroughly and to the required standard on a regular basis.
- Ensure outside walkways remain clear and free of debris at all times to prevent trip hazards and maintain a safe environment.
- Maintain the surrounding environment in a clean, neat, and hazard-free condition throughout every shift.
- Handle cleaning chemicals correctly in accordance with proper storage and disposal methods and safety requirements.
Facilities Support
- Notify building management of any repairs required to the premises, equipment, or facilities promptly.
- Identify and report any safety hazards, damaged equipment, or maintenance concerns to the supervisor without delay.
- Support the general upkeep and maintenance of the warehouse environment as directed.
Ad-Hoc & General Duties
- Carry out all reasonable ad-hoc duties as instructed by the supervisor.
- Assist other team members with general warehouse support tasks as required.
- Maintain self-motivation and the ability to identify and complete needed tasks without constant direct supervision.
Safety & Compliance
- Work in a safe manner at all times and ensure all safety requirements are strictly adhered to.
