About the Role

As the Central Planning Analyst: Replenishment, you will be responsible for evaluating, controlling, and enhancing replenishment performance across Ackermans. You will serve as a critical bridge between Business Units, Merchandise Planners, Store Planners, Heads of Planning, and Systems Analysts.
This role requires a commercial thinker with advanced analytical abilities who can identify stock risks and sales opportunities, maintain strict compliance with replenishment policies, and train planning teams on system workflows to support Ackermans’ overall merchandise goals.

Key Performance Areas & Primary Responsibilities

1. Performance Analysis & Interrogation (30%)
  • Conduct deep-dive analysis and rigorous interrogation of replenishment performance across seasonal and non-seasonal product lines.
  • Monitor replenishment throughput, stock cover, sell-through rates, and distribution efficiency across the store network.
2. Proactive Reporting & Recommendations (25%)
  • Identify product performance exceptions, supply chain bottlenecks, and inventory risks across trading categories.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations and actionable insights to planning leadership to optimize stock availability and business outcomes.
3. Replenishment Governance & Policy Compliance (25%)
  • Enforce, audit, and maintain operational governance around company Replenishment (RPL) policies and procedures.
  • Ensure data integrity, parameter accuracy, and process alignment across all retail planning units.
4. Training, Development & Stakeholder Engagement (20%)
  • Design and deliver comprehensive process training and refresher modules for replenishment tool users.
  • Build collaborative working relationships with Planners, Store Planners, Heads of Planning, and IT Systems Analysts to align system functionality with business requirements.

Minimum Requirements – Central Planning Analyst

Educational Qualifications
  • Grade 12 / Matric Certificate (Essential).
  • B.Comm. / B.Sc. Degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics, or Business Science (Highly Preferred); OR
  • National Diploma / Degree in Business Management, Retail/Merchandise Management, Financial Information Systems, Internal Auditing, or Cost & Management Accounting.
Work Experience & Technical Competencies
  • A minimum of 3 years of Product Planning experience within a clothing retail or FMCG environment (Essential).
  • At least 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in analyzing data and complex information (Essential).
  • Direct working experience in replenishment planning systems such as Just Enough or similar tools (Essential).
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office packages (Advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint) (Essential).
  • Additional Preferred Experience: More than 1 year of Store Planning experience, 2 to 3 years of direct replenishment focus, and a solid understanding of logistics and supply chain processes.
