About the Role
As the Silo Manager at AFGRI Grain Management in Pretoria, you will hold full operational, financial, and regulatory accountability for the performance and safety of the silo complex or bunker facility.
You will manage the daily intake, storage, blending, and dispatch of grain, ensuring precise quality control through regular equipment calibration and grading standards. In addition, you will actively market silo storage services, oversee financial budget variances, manage capital asset inspections, lead personnel, and enforce compliance with AFGRI Health & Safety policies, Rail Regulator rules, and Food Safety standards.

Key Responsibilities of a Silo Manager
Grain Handling, Quality Control & Storage Management

Oversee daily reconciliations of grain stock, including precise quality grading, moisture testing, and quantity control.

Manage correct grain blending procedures according to strict buyer and market specifications.

Ensure regular maintenance and calibration tests of all grain grading equipment.
