About the Role
As a Parts Salesperson at AFGRI Equipment in Bethlehem, you will be the direct interface for over-the-counter customer inquiries, providing technical guidance and sales support for agricultural machinery spare parts.
You will manage the end-to-end parts sales process—from identifying customer part numbers and handling payments to managing stock replenishment, conducting regular stocktakes, and managing stock rotation. This role combines customer service, counter sales, inventory accuracy, and financial compliance within a busy agricultural retail environment.

Key Responsibilities of a Parts Salesperson
Over-the-Counter Sales & Customer Service

Deliver excellent over-the-counter sales support to farmers, workshop technicians, and retail customers.

Identify correct spare parts using digital catalogs and technical product specifications.

Process customer returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies.

Address and resolve customer complaints, inquiries, and back-order queries promptly.
Stock Management & Inventory Control

Order parts inventory in accordance with branch replenishment procedures to maintain target stock levels.

Participate in regular stock counting, physical stocktakes, and inventory reconciliations.

Manage stock rotation (FIFO) to prevent old or obsolete stock accumulation.

Ensure spare parts are stored safely, securely, and in pristine condition to minimize damage.
Financial & Administrative Operations

Collect customer payments using Point of Sale (POS) terminals, credit card machines, and cash handling procedures.

Ensure daily cash balancing and accuracy across all counter transactions.

Adhere strictly to risk, safety, and occupational health legislation on site.

Educational Qualifications & Licensing

Work Experience & Technical Knowledge
