Purpose of the Role — Parts Salesperson AFGRI Thabazimbi
The Parts Salesperson provides over-the-counter sales and administration functions for parts stock at the AFGRI Thabazimbi branch — ensuring stable stock availability, accurate sales and returns processing, timely payment collection, strong customer relationships, stock control and rotation, and full compliance with risk and safety requirements.

Over-the-Counter Sales & Customer Service
- Provide professional, knowledgeable over-the-counter parts sales to internal and external customers at the Thabazimbi branch
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with internal and external clients — becoming a trusted parts advisor for the branch’s customer base
- Identify and timeously resolve customer queries and complaints — ensuring every customer interaction leaves a positive impression of AFGRI

Stock Management & Control
- Ensure stable availability of stock by ordering stock in line with branch procedure and customer demand
- Conduct regular stock counting and stocktaking to maintain accurate inventory records
- Responsible for stock control and stock rotation — managing both old and new stock to minimise obsolescence and maximise availability
- Ensure that all stock is kept in a safe condition and stored in accordance with safety and risk requirements
Payment Processing & Cash Management
- Ensure accurate cash balancing at all times — maintaining full accountability for the cash and payment function at the counter
- Ensure that account payments are timeously processed
- Collect payments by accepting cash, credit cards, and other approved payment methods in line with branch procedure
Compliance & Safety
