About the Role

The Community Advisor is a critical frontline representative within the FNB Points of Presence network. Stationed at the Polokwane Central branch, you will serve as the first point of contact for clients seeking banking services, account assistance, and digital channel orientation.

The successful candidate will focus on providing rapid, accurate operational service while actively identifying cross-sell opportunities, growing the bank’s active customer base, and helping clients transition seamlessly from traditional over-the-counter transactions to secure digital and self-service channels.

Important Operational Requirements: Candidates should hold a Preferred NQF Level 5 Certificate in Banking, Business Administration, Customer Service, or FAIS-recognized equivalent, backed by 1 to 3 years of customer-facing service or sales experience within financial services. Strong communication, administrative discipline, and comfort with digital banking tools are essential.

Frontline Customer Service & Digital Migration

  • Welcome and serve branch customers promptly and professionally, identifying their core financial needs.

  • Educate and guide clients on migrating from physical teller/branch transactions to FNB digital channels and self-service options.

  • Deliver consistent customer satisfaction aligned with internal Balanced Scorecard standards and FNB’s Golden Rules.

Sales Support & Business Growth

  • Drive net profit growth by identifying cross-sell opportunities and expanding active customer accounts.

  • Track, control, and influence sales and service activities to meet set branch targets.

  • Ensure daily verification and accurate processing of new business applications within designated turnarounds.

Administrative & Compliance Rigor

  • Maintain meticulous administrative records, compiling accurate daily sales and service statistics for branch management.

  • Adhere strictly to FNB governance, legal regulations, audit requirements, and risk guidelines.

  • Take personal ownership of continuous development, completing required compliance modules and skill updates timeously.

Educational Qualifications

  • Preferred Qualification: NQF Level 5 Certificate in Banking, Business Administration, Customer Service, or related FAIS-recognized qualification.

Experience & Industry Exposure

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in customer-facing environments, client support, or service delivery within the financial services sector.

  • Practical experience working in retail banking or direct customer engagement settings.
