Key Responsibilities of a Financial Administrator

Banking Administration

Financial Data Management

Reporting & Reconciliation

  • Assist in tracking fund movements and providing updates on account statuses to the finance team.

  • Flag discrepancies, anomalies, or outstanding items to the finance team promptly.

General Finance Administration

  • Support the broader finance department with ad-hoc administrative tasks to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Assist with any additional financial administration requirements as directed by the finance team.

Minimum Requirements – Financial Administrator

Experience:

  • Proven experience in financial administration or a banking-related support role (essential)
  • Deep familiarity with the South African and/or African banking environment and corporate account opening requirements (essential)
  • Experience within a fintech, payments, or travel-tech environment (preferred)
  • Knowledge of cross-border payment regulations and exchange control basics (preferred)
