Purpose of the Role

ITS System Data Capturing
- Capture students’ information on the ITS (Integrated Tertiary Software) system — entering all student registration, demographic, and academic data accurately and timeously.
- Register students on the ITS system — completing all required fields and ensuring every student’s record is correctly created and verified in the system.
- Print proof of registration from the system — providing students and administrators with accurate, system-generated registration confirmation.
Data Verification & Accuracy
- Verify information correctness and proofread data for accuracy — checking all captured data against source documents to identify and correct any errors before they affect student records.
- Conduct student data verification — confirming the accuracy and completeness of student information across all system records.
- Calculate campus statistics — compiling and reporting on student enrolment, registration, and other statistical data as required by the College and DHET.
Filing & Records Management
- Filing — sort application and admission forms onto files and sort files in the cabinets — maintaining a well-organised, accessible physical records system for all campus student files.
General Administrative Support
- Demonstrate ability to work with multiethnic and multicultural students and staff — providing professional, respectful administrative service to the full diversity of the Maluti Campus community.
- Interpret College or departmental policies — applying relevant rules, procedures, and guidelines correctly in day-to-day data capturing and administrative functions.
