Primary Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. General & Deep Cleaning Operations
-
Maintain a clean, hygienic, and safe healthcare environment to prevent injury and cross-infection across all EMS offices, common areas, kitchens, sluices, drains, and ablution facilities.

Perform detailed daily cleaning duties including sweeping, scrubbing, mopping floors, dusting, polishing furniture, washing windows, light shades, walls, and sanitizing toilets.

Empty waste bins daily and execute proper removal of general and medical waste from facility buildings.
2. Equipment Care & Storage

Safely operate and maintain household cleaning equipment and heavy-duty machinery (e.g., polishing and scrubbing machines, mops, brooms, buckets).

Clean and inspect all equipment immediately after use and ensure secure storage in designated cleaning stores.
3. Maintenance Reporting & Relief Service

Identify and notify management or facility supervisors promptly of any building maintenance deficiencies, plumbing issues, or required structural repairs.

Provide relief cleaning services across different units and operational shifts according to service demands.
Minimum Requirements & Inherent Job Conditions
Educational Qualifications & Experience

Minimum Education: Basic literacy and numeracy skills (Essential).

Work Experience: Appropriate practical experience as a Cleaner within a hospital, clinic, or health facility environment (Essential).

Physical Capability: Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks and operate heavy-duty cleaning machinery and equipment.
