As a Cashier at the Pretoria site, you will be the face of the Fedics service at the point of sale — the final and most memorable touchpoint in the customer’s meal experience. Key Responsibilities
💳 Cash Handling & Till Operations
- Complete all cash and card transactions accurately and efficiently, processing each sale as quickly as possible without compromising on accuracy.
- Maintain all cash handling procedures and follow cash management policies at all times to ensure full accountability of company funds.
- Exercise thorough product knowledge and understanding of till operations to process a wide variety of items correctly and without error.
- Keep loss prevention guidelines in mind at all times, identifying and escalating any suspicious activity or discrepancies without delay.
- Ensure the till area is neat, organised, and operationally ready at the start and throughout each shift.
😊 Customer Service & Relationship Management
- Establish warm, sincere contact with every customer who approaches the till, creating a welcoming and positive checkout experience.
- Maintain excellent customer relationships through consistent professionalism, attentiveness, and a genuine desire to assist.

🍽️ Meal & Beverage Service
- Assist with the preparation and serving of meals and beverages to customers in line with Fedics’ food service standards and procedures.

- Support the kitchen and catering team during peak service periods to ensure smooth, uninterrupted food and beverage delivery.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the daily menu and specials to provide accurate information to customers at the point of sale.
🧹 Hygiene & Housekeeping
- Maintain high hygiene and cleaning standards across the till area, service counters, and any food preparation areas within scope of the role.
- Ensure full compliance with all applicable food safety and hygiene regulations at all times during the shift.
- Keep the service and checkout environment clean, organised, and presentable throughout the trading day.
- Report any hygiene concerns, equipment failures, or food safety issues to the relevant supervisor immediately.
📦 Stock Control Support
- Assist with stock-takes as directed by management, contributing accurate counts and supporting the stock control process.

Minimum Requirements
Educational Qualifications
