About the Role

Adendorff Machinery Mart’s Klerksdorp branch is a busy, customer-facing retail environment specialising in tools, power equipment, and machinery sourced from around the world. As a Retail Shop Assistant in the Tools and Machinery department, you will be at the forefront of the customer experience — assisting shoppers in finding the right products, maintaining a well-merchandised and stocked shop floor, and contributing to the overall sales performance of the branch. This is an entry-level role designed for a motivated individual who is eager to learn the technical and commercial aspects of the tools and hardware retail trade.

The ideal candidate will be someone who is naturally confident, reliable, and honest, with a proven ability to work as part of a team as well as independently. Previous exposure to a retail sales environment, along with experience in merchandising, stock control, and customer service, will be highly advantageous. While technical knowledge of DIY tools or hardware is not a minimum requirement, candidates who possess this knowledge — or who demonstrate a genuine enthusiasm to acquire it — will be strongly preferred.

Adendorff Machinery Mart is deeply committed to the development of its staff, offering structured organisational development and training programmes that equip employees with both the product knowledge and the business skills they need to thrive. This role offers not just a job, but the foundation for a long-term career within a company that has built its reputation on consistent, professional, and customer-focused service.

Please note: The Company encourages all designated groups to apply in line with its commitment to Employment Equity and transformation.
