Core Values We Look For in a Treasury Compliance Administrator

✅ Precision & Document Control

Treasury compliance is built on accurate records and complete documentation. We value administrators who maintain meticulous registers, never let a deadline lapse, and ensure every banking arrangement is properly documented and audit-ready.

✅ Governance & Policy Adherence

Every bank account, mandate, and guarantee in this role must comply with the Treasury Framework and delegated authority limits. We value professionals who understand governance deeply and apply it consistently — not just when auditors are watching.

✅ Proactive Monitoring & Follow-Up

Bank guarantee expiry dates, user access reviews, and SARB submission timelines cannot be missed. We need a Treasury Compliance Administrator who tracks every open item, follows up relentlessly, and escalates risks before they become problems.

✅ Integrity & Confidentiality

This role involves access to sensitive banking arrangements, signatory authorities, and regulatory submissions. Absolute discretion, professionalism, and ethical conduct are non-negotiable requirements.

✅ Communication & Stakeholder Coordination

Coordinating mandate updates with banks, supporting audit teams, and liaising with internal stakeholders requires clear, professional communication and strong relationship management skills across multiple counterparties.

Frequently Asked Questions – Treasury Compliance Administrator Jobs

What is a Treasury Framework? A Treasury Framework is the set of policies, procedures, and governance rules that govern an organisation’s treasury activities — including how bank accounts are opened and closed, who can authorise banking transactions, what the limits are on bank guarantees, and how electronic banking access is managed. The Treasury Compliance Administrator is responsible for ensuring all activities comply with this framework at all times.

What does segregation of duties mean in electronic banking? Segregation of duties in electronic banking means that the same person cannot both initiate a payment and approve or release it. This is a critical internal control that prevents fraud and errors. The Treasury Compliance Administrator is responsible for enforcing and monitoring this separation across all banking platforms.

What is a bank mandate? A bank mandate is a legal document submitted to a bank that specifies who is authorised to operate an account — including who can sign cheques, approve payments, or access online banking. Keeping mandates current following staff changes or organisational restructuring is a core responsibility of this role.

What is a SARB application? SARB refers to the South African Reserve Bank — South Africa’s central bank. Certain cross-border financial transactions and banking arrangements require formal approval or notification to the SARB under the Currency and Exchanges Act and related regulations. The Treasury Compliance Administrator prepares and tracks these submissions.

How much experience is required? A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in a banking, treasury, or financial administration role is required, along with practical experience operating electronic banking platforms.

What is the closing date for applications? The closing date for this position is 16 April 2026. Apply immediately — this deadline is very close.
