Core Values We Look For in a Site Supervisor: Cleaning

✅ Leadership by Example

A cleaning supervisor sets the tone for the entire team. We value supervisors who lead from the front — maintaining the same standards they expect of their staff, addressing problems directly and constructively, and building a team culture where every member takes pride in the quality of their work and the cleanliness of the facilities in their care.

✅ Attention to Detail & Quality Standards

Hygiene and cleanliness are not one-time achievements — they require consistent inspection, monitoring, and correction. We value supervisors who inspect thoroughly, catch deviations from standard quickly, and follow through until every area under their supervision meets the required level of cleanliness without exception.

✅ People Development & Training Commitment

A well-trained team is a high-performing team. We value supervisors who invest genuine time and energy in onboarding new staff correctly, coaching existing team members, and creating an environment where people understand what is expected of them and have the skills to deliver it consistently.

✅ Health, Safety & Compliance Mindset

Cleaning environments involve chemical handling, equipment operation, and physical labour — all of which carry health and safety obligations. We value supervisors who treat compliance not as a bureaucratic requirement but as a genuine responsibility to the wellbeing of their team and the safety of every person on site.

✅ Reliability & Operational Flexibility

Cleaning operations do not stop at the end of a standard weekday. We value supervisors who are flexible, dependable, and prepared to provide leadership coverage during evenings, weekends, and public holidays — ensuring that service standards are maintained regardless of the time or day of the week.

Starting as a Site Supervisor: Cleaning with a leading facilities services group is a strong foundation for a long-term career in cleaning operations and facilities management. For motivated individuals, progression is clear:

  • Site Supervisor: Cleaning → Area Supervisor / Senior Cleaning Supervisor
  • Area Supervisor → Operations Manager: Cleaning Services
  • Operations Manager → Regional Manager: Facilities & Cleaning
  • Regional Manager → General Manager / Director: Cleaning & Facilities Services

Your career path is in your hands.
