About the Role
The Production Clerk plays a vital administrative and operational support role within the production environment. You will be responsible for recording production output, tracking materials, maintaining shift documentation, and ensuring accurate reporting of plant activities.

Key Responsibilities of a Production Clerk
Production Data Recording
- Record hourly and daily production output accurately.
- Capture downtime, material usage, scrap, and waste data.
- Ensure all production statistics are correctly recorded on systems.
Data Entry & Reporting
- Input shift production data into production management systems.
- Ensure reports are accurate and available for management use.
- Maintain up-to-date production records.
Inventory & Stock Control
- Monitor raw materials and finished goods during shifts.
- Report shortages, discrepancies, or stock variances.
- Ensure warehouse stock records match production outputs.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to safety procedures and quality standards.
- Report hazards, incidents, or non-conformances immediately.
- Support compliance with operational SOPs.
Communication & Coordination
- Act as a communication link between operators, supervisors, and departments.

Minimum Requirements – Production Clerk
Education:
- Grade 12 / Matric Certificate — essential
Experience:
- 1–2 years’ experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment — preferred
Technical Skills:
- Competent in Microsoft Excel — essential
- Experience with production or inventory systems — advantageous
