RCL Foods is currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Pricing and Rebate Clerk to join its Group Services Division on a permanent basis. This role is based in Westville, Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, and reports directly to the Pricing and Rebate Controller.
This opportunity is well suited to a finance professional with strong administrative accuracy, systems knowledge, and experience in pricing, rebates, and claims processing within a fast-paced corporate environment. The role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate pricing, rebate reconciliation, and reliable sales information across the business.
About the Role
The Pricing and Rebate Clerk is responsible for the accurate capturing, reconciliation, and reporting of pricing deals, rebates, and claims. The role supports the business by ensuring data integrity within ERP systems, facilitating timely rebate payments, and providing accurate sales and rebate reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
This position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong numerical ability, and the confidence to work with large volumes of financial and sales data while meeting strict deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Deal and List Price Capturing
The successful candidate will capture all pricing deals into the ERP system, ensuring that correct details are loaded, released, and forwarded to sub-distributors on time. The role also involves updating list prices according to authorised mandate schedules and maintaining pricing templates for new products, mandates, and list prices.
Claims Management
Responsibilities include preparing rebate reconciliations by customer, managing workflows for rebate payments, and ensuring that ad hoc payments are correctly allocated against budget. The role also involves reconciling rebate account statements, value-only credit notes processed through the income statement, and auditing claims and credits approved by RCL Foods to confirm validity and recover rejected claims.
Rebate Administration and Control
The Pricing and Rebate Clerk analyses new trading terms, escalates deviations, and maintains the rebate master file. Sales figures are extracted by customer for rebate calculation purposes, and both internal and external customer sales reports are compiled in the required formats.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining credit note capture files, payment schedules, preparing EFT rebate workflows, updating the QK system with new trading terms, extracting rebate provisions, preparing journals, and reconciling rebates paid against provisions raised.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

Finance Diploma or Degree

1–2 years’ experience in a similar pricing, rebate, or finance support role

Strong numerical and reconciliation skills

High attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to meet deadlines in a structured environment

Work Experience
