No prior experience is required. Candidates must have a working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and the Department’s procurement processes, and must be able to manage their workload with strong time management and planning of work processes skills.

  • Maintain stores of lubricants and tools required for the upkeep and operation of the machines.

Procurement Support & Logistics

  • Assist with the procurement of reproduction-related logistics in line with the Department’s procurement processes.

  • Ensure all procurement-related activities are carried out in compliance with applicable departmental policies.

General Workshop Support & Safety Compliance

  • Assist with the control and usage of heavy-duty photocopying machines across the workshop.

✅ Technical Diligence & Machine Ownership

Operating, calibrating, and maintaining heavy-duty photocopying machines in a production environment requires a candidate who takes equipment ownership seriously. We value operators who set up machines correctly, monitor output quality consistently, and address faults promptly — keeping the workshop’s reproduction services running at full capacity throughout the working day.

✅ Safety Consciousness & OHSA Compliance

Working with heavy-duty machinery in a workshop environment carries inherent health and safety responsibilities. We value operators who maintain full compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) at all times — operating equipment safely, maintaining a hazard-free workspace, and never taking shortcuts that could compromise the safety of themselves or their colleagues.

✅ Quality Control & Accuracy

Checking output for machine-related flaws, keeping records of approved and defective units, and ensuring every document delivered to a client meets the required standard all demand careful attention to detail. We value operators who take pride in the quality of every reproduction job — understanding that a flawed output reflects directly on the Department’s professional standards.

✅ Planning, Organisation & Time Management

Managing a queue of reproduction requests, maintaining machine setup cycles, and monitoring stock levels simultaneously requires strong organisational discipline. We value operators who plan their workload methodically, communicate realistic timelines to clients, and consistently deliver completed jobs on time without compromising quality.

✅ Client Service & Professional Communication

Receiving requests, updating clients on job progress, and notifying them when documents are ready for collection all require clear, courteous communication. We value operators who engage with internal clients professionally, respond to queries helpfully, and contribute to a service-oriented workshop environment where every client feels attended to.
