About the Role

The Motorbike Courier Driver position at Skooch plays an essential operational role in ensuring smooth, secure, and on-time last-mile logistics. As the front-line representative on the road, the driver collects and delivers parcels across designated local routes in Cape Town, maintains accurate delivery documentation, and builds positive relationships with recipients.

This permanent position is well-suited for a punctual, physically fit driver holding a valid Code A motorcycle license who excels at navigating Cape Town traffic patterns while maintaining high standards of safety and customer care.

Important Operational Requirements: Candidates must possess a valid Code A motorbike license (mandatory) and a minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a motorcycle delivery driver or courier. A minimum Grade 10 or Grade 12 certificate and a clean criminal record are required.

Efficient Parcel Collection & Delivery

• Safely collect and transport packages, parcels, and important documents from depots or clients to designated delivery locations.

• Execute timely deliveries by following assigned, optimized routes while effectively navigating local traffic patterns.

• Handle all parcels with extreme care to prevent damage or loss during transit.

Route & Traffic Management

• Utilize local road knowledge and navigation tools to find safe, efficient pathways across Cape Town suburbs.

• Adapt quickly to changing road conditions, traffic hotspots, or time-sensitive delivery schedules under pressure.

Record Keeping & Customer Service

• Maintain clean, detailed, and accurate physical or digital delivery records and proof-of-delivery receipts.

• Interact with clients and package recipients in a friendly, respectful, and well-presented manner.

Vehicle & Safety Compliance

• Perform routine daily checks on the motorbike to ensure roadworthiness, proper tire pressure, and mechanical safety.

• Strictly adhere to South African road traffic laws, speed limits, and corporate safety policies at all times.

Licensing & Education

• Valid Code A Motorbike License (Mandatory).

• Minimum Grade 10 or Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.

Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as a motorcycle delivery driver or courier.

• Previous experience within the courier, express parcel, or logistics industry is strongly preferred.
