About the Role

The Marketer: Timber position at TWK Agri serves as a vital operational anchor within the Southern Region timber marketing framework. Rather than traditional consumer advertising, this specialized role focuses on supply chain administration, supplier relationship tracking, timber certification compliance, and market data management across the agricultural and forestry landscape.

Operating from Howick, KwaZulu-Natal, the successful candidate will oversee supplier and contractor agreements, administer Price Adjustments (PAs), manage Chain of Custody (COC) and EUDR compliance requirements, and support both internal and external audits. This permanent associate role is ideal for a candidate with strong administrative precision, forestry or supply chain knowledge, and a background in agricultural compliance systems.

Important Operational Requirements: Candidates must hold a Matric / Grade 12 certificate alongside a relevant Diploma or Degree (Forestry, Agriculture, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Commerce) and 3 to 5 years of administrative experience within forestry, timber, agriculture, compliance, or supply chain environments. A valid Code 08 driver’s license is required.

Operational Information & Database Management

• Manage and maintain detailed supplier, landowner, contractor, market, mapping, and compartment operational data to guarantee up-to-date regional records.

• Coordinate the creation and verification of supplier, contractor, and sub-agent profiles, ensuring all required supporting documentation is collected and archived.

Marketing & Financial Administration Support

• Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Southern Region timber marketing team.

• Prepare, process, and administer Price Adjustments (PAs), supplier documentation, contractor deductions, bonus registers, and supplier tracking reports.

• Compile, update, and maintain formal supplier, contractor, market, and sub-agent agreements with high accuracy.

Certification & Regulatory Compliance

• Administer and maintain Chain of Custody (COC), Due Diligence System (DDS), European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), and timber certification records and reconciliations.

• Manage Corrective Action Request (CAR) reports, training records, Integrated Management System (IMS) updates, and system-related compliance changes.

Audit Preparation & Governance

• Support internal and external audits by compiling required documentation, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with audit preparation and follow-up actions.

• Capture and maintain meeting minutes, formal correspondence, and operational documentation for easy business access.

Educational Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12 certificate.

• Relevant Diploma or Degree in Forestry, Agriculture, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, or a related field.

Professional Experience

• 3 to 5 years of administrative experience within a forestry, timber, agricultural, compliance, certification, supply chain, or related environment.

Licensing & Language

• Valid Driver’s License (Code 08 / Class EB/B) is mandatory.

• Bilingualism in Afrikaans & English is advantageous.

Functional & System Knowledge

• Sound understanding of administrative systems, record management, and operational reporting.

• Knowledge of Chain of Custody (COC) certification processes, Due Diligence Systems (DDS), EUDR, or related timber compliance frameworks is highly advantageous.

• Strong computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office suite applications.
