Position Overview

Bidvest Prestige is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee all branch operations in Polokwane, Limpopo.

The successful candidate will lead a high-performing team, drive operational excellence, and ensure exceptional service delivery, while managing budgets, compliance, and growth initiatives.

This role is ideal for a strategic leader with strong operational, financial, and customer service acumen.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Leadership

  • Oversee daily branch operations, including cleaning, hygiene, and support services.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and health & safety standards.

  • Implement and optimize operational processes for efficiency and quality.

2. Strategic Planning & Growth

  • Develop and execute branch strategic plans aligned with business objectives.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.

  • Monitor KPIs to ensure operational efficiency and profitability.

3. Team Management

  • Recruit, train, and motivate staff to achieve high performance and engagement.

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.

  • Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability.

4. Customer & Client Management

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and retention.

  • Resolve customer complaints and operational issues promptly and professionally.

  • Implement service quality standards and continuous improvement initiatives.

5. Financial Oversight

  • Monitor branch budgets and control operational expenses.

  • Ensure cost-effective resource management and profitability targets are met.

  • Report on financial performance and identify areas for efficiency improvement.

Minimum Requirements

Education & Qualifications:

  • Degree or Diploma in Business Management, Hospitality, or related field (preferred).

Experience:

  • Proven experience as a General Manager or Branch Manager within the cleaning, hospitality, or facility services sector.

  • Strong leadership and team management experience.

  • Experience managing budgets, operations, and client relationships.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Exceptional strategic planning, leadership, and decision-making skills.

  • Strong financial management and analytical abilities.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office and relevant operational software.

  • Valid driver’s license and own transportation.
