Position Overview
Job Title: Forklift Driver – Receiving
Location: Gqeberha/Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape
Employment Type: Permanent
Division: BKB
Business Unit: BKB Wool & Mohair
This role is responsible for the transportation and handling of bales on the receiving floor to ensure smooth production flow. The Forklift Driver will maintain operational efficiency, adhere to safety protocols, and support overall warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities

Operate forklifts to transport bales efficiently and safely.

Stack bales neatly, ensuring readiness for OM floor and Bin line.
-
Perform daily safety checks on forklifts and comply with all safety regulations.
-
Maintain continuous flow of bales to OM and S&V lines.

Verify completeness of lots before loading onto the gravity feed.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
-
Assist with ad hoc tasks and duties as assigned across the plant.

Uphold health and safety standards and company policies at all times.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Grade 12 (Matric)
-
Valid Forklift License
-
3 years of warehousing or logistics experience
Skills & Competencies:

Technical ability to operate machinery safely

Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
-
Attention to detail and accuracy
-
Good communication and teamwork skills
-
Ability to work independently under pressure

Customer service orientation
-
Basic writing and arithmetic skills
Physical Requirements:

Good physical condition to handle manual tasks in a fast-paced warehouse environment
