Dis-Chem is looking for a dedicated Store Cleaner to maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness across its Fourways store. The role ensures the store floor, stockroom, dispensary, admin office, canteen, and communal areas meet Dis-Chem’s hygienic and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the store, including shop floor, stock room, dispensary, admin office, and canteen.

  • Develop and implement daily cleaning routines, ensuring all areas are consistently maintained.

  • Ensure canteen and restrooms are clean, stocked, and presentable at all times.

  • Be available throughout operational hours to attend to cleaning needs as they arise.

  • Use correct cleaning products and equipment for specific tasks.

  • Ensure safety compliance, including placing wet floor signs when cleaning.

  • Assist customers in a friendly and professional manner when required.

  • Perform all duties in compliance with Health and Safety regulations.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 / Matric certificate.

  • Minimum of 6 months’ prior cleaning experience.

  • Sound command of English (written and spoken).

  • Basic customer service skills.

  • Willingness to work retail hours.

Advantageous:

  • Bilingual abilities or local language proficiency.

  • Previous retail store cleaning experience.
