Core Duties & Responsibilities
The specialized duties across all 17 Level 2 Cleaner positions are identical, focused on comprehensive interior hygiene, inventory handling, and workplace sanitation:
Facility & Office Hygiene Maintenance

Clean and sanitize state offices, corridors, elevators, and boardrooms systematically to maintain institutional health standards.

Perform dusting and waxing of all office furniture, desks, filing cabinets, and administrative workstations.

Execute sweeping, deep scrubbing, and waxing of floors across high-traffic walkways and clinical entrance paths.

Operate professional vacuuming and shampooing hardware to service carpets and soft floor layouts.

Wash and wipe down walls, structural windows, and access doors to eliminate dust, smudges, and biological contaminants.

Empty and clean indoor dirt bins regularly, replacing bin liners and ensuring waste materials are stored safely.

Collect and remove waste papers and office rubbish to designated external collection points.

Freshen and deodorize public office areas and reception lounges to promote a pleasant working climate.
Kitchen & Ablution Block Sanitation

Clean the general unit kitchen facilities, including deep cleaning and scrubbing of washing basins, countertops, and storage racks.

Wash, dry, and maintain a neat stock layout of kitchen utensils, cups, and institutional catering elements.

Clear and clean tables promptly following communal office events, tea breaks, or scheduled military briefings.

Clean and thoroughly disinfect rest rooms, toilets, and hand-washing sinks using appropriate protective gear.

Refill liquid soap dispensers, replace toilet paper rolls, and renew hand towels and automated fresheners daily.

Empty, wash, and chemically disinfect bathroom waste bins to prevent odor buildup or public health issues.
Material Management & Equipment Care

Keep, maintain, and safely store cleaning materials, chemical solutions, and heavy equipment after every shift.

Clean mechanical appliances and electronic equipment (including microwaves, vacuum cleaners, and floor polishers) systematically after use.

Identify and report broken cleaning machines, frayed electrical lines, or faulty hardware to supervisors immediately.

Place formal internal demands for new cleaning materials and arrange for collection directly from the central logistics stores.
