About the Role
The Delivery Driver: Code 10 is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods, ensuring deliveries are completed accurately, on time, and in full compliance with company policies and road safety regulations. The role requires strong communication, disciplined recordkeeping, and a high level of professionalism when engaging with customers and internal teams.
This position plays a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction and supporting the overall efficiency of distribution operations.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Operation and Road Safety
The successful candidate will safely operate the assigned delivery truck, conducting pre-trip inspections to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with traffic laws and company safety standards at all times.
Delivery Accuracy and Customer Service
Responsibilities include verifying goods, completing deliveries accurately and on time, and maintaining professional, courteous communication with customers, warehouse personnel, and other stakeholders.
Documentation and Recordkeeping
The role requires accurate recording of daily activities, including mileage, fuel usage, delivery receipts, and any incidents or accidents. All documentation must be maintained in line with company and regulatory requirements.
Vehicle Maintenance and Housekeeping
Drivers must keep their assigned vehicles clean, organised, and properly stocked with required documentation and equipment. Any mechanical issues or maintenance requirements must be reported promptly and managed according to company procedures.
Safety, Compliance, and Team Participation
The Delivery Driver must adhere to all safety guidelines, use appropriate PPE, and contribute to a safe working environment. Participation in meetings, coaching sessions, and training is expected, along with active support of team and operational goals.
Minimum Requirements
Candidates applying for this position must meet the following requirements:

Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or equivalent qualification

Minimum 3โ5 yearsโ driving experience, preferably within the FMCG retail industry

Code 10 Driverโs License (Code 14 advantageous)

Valid PDP
