Position Overview
The Customer Relations Manager is responsible for managing Servest’s top client relationships, ensuring service excellence, and driving retention strategies. This role involves leading a team of customer relationship consultants, collaborating with sales and operations teams, and ensuring that all service-level agreements (SLAs) are met.
The position reports directly to the Managing Executive of the Cleaning Business Unit.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Relationship Management

Manage relationships with the top 20 key clients, ensuring service delivery meets SLAs.

Address notifications of termination proactively to retain clients.

Collaborate with Sales on re-bidding and retention strategies for existing customers.

Negotiate and implement price adjustments for key clients.

Analyse profitability and engagement of top clients to drive business decisions.

Support debtors management by resolving account queries in collaboration with Regional Managers.
Team Leadership & Development
-
Build, manage, and mentor a team of Customer Relationship Consultants.

Implement retention strategies through effective team management.
-
Support team skills development and ongoing training.

Provide guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Sales, Operations, and other business units to deliver integrated service solutions.

Identify and develop sales opportunities within existing client accounts.

Ensure consistent communication and reporting with senior management.
Minimum Requirements
-
Matric / Grade 12 certificate.
-
Diploma in Business Management or equivalent.
-
5+ years relevant experience in customer relationship management in contract cleaning or related service industry.

At least 2 years managing a team of customer relationship managers.

Strong business acumen and numerical skills.

Project management capabilities.

Own reliable vehicle with a valid driver’s license.

Exceptional service orientation and quality standards.

Strong problem-solving, analytical, and innovative skills.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
