Purpose of the Role – Client Service Officer: Public Employment Services
The purpose of this role is to provide employment services support to work-seekers and employers through the ESSA system by registering work-seekers, registering employment opportunities, referring clients for counselling services, assisting with placements, and ensuring the effective administration of employment services functions at Labour Centre level.

Work-Seeker Registration Services on ESSA
- Render registration services for work-seekers on the ESSA system
- Capture and maintain accurate employment seeker information on departmental databases
- Assist unemployed clients with registration processes and profile updates
- Verify and process employment-related documentation where required
Registration of Work and Learning Opportunities
- Register available work opportunities and learning opportunities on ESSA
- Capture employer vacancies and training opportunities accurately
- Ensure that opportunities are properly aligned with suitable work-seekers
Employment Counselling Referrals
- Refer work-seekers for Employment Counselling services where necessary
