Key Responsibilities of a Casual Frontshop Assistant
Stock Replenishment & Merchandising
- Restock merchandise appropriately to ensure maximum sales opportunities.
- Ensure shelves remain fully stocked at all times.
- Maintain merchandising displays according to TLC Corporate Stores procedures.
- Apply the FIFO principle when rotating stock.
- Ensure all merchandise is neatly displayed and clearly visible.
Stock Control & Inventory Support
- Assist with cycle counts and stocktaking activities.
- Report damaged, expired, and low stock levels to management immediately.
- Ensure delivered stock is packed and stored correctly.
- Keep the storeroom neat, organised, and tidy.
- Handle all merchandise carefully to minimise losses.
Customer Service & Frontshop Support
- Provide friendly, helpful, and professional customer assistance.
- Resolve customer stock queries within a reasonable timeframe.
- Follow up on all out-of-stock product requests.
- Maintain professional interactions with customers and management.
- Assist customers with product-related enquiries when needed.
Store Maintenance & Housekeeping
- Ensure housekeeping standards comply with company policies.
- Keep workstations clean and organised at all times.
- Flatten unpacked boxes and move them to designated areas.
- Maintain proper product presentation throughout the store.
- Assist with loading and off-loading stock when required.
Operational Compliance & Team Support
- Adhere to all company policies and standard operating procedures.
- Follow Health and Safety regulations consistently.
- Wear the correct uniform and name badge at all times.
- Assist with training new and existing team members.

Minimum Requirements – Casual Frontshop Assistant
Educational Qualifications:
- Grade 12 / Matric Certificate (essential)
Experience:
- 0 – 6 months retail work experience (essential)
- 1 year retail experience within FMCG or retail environment (advantageous)
Licences:
- Valid driver’s licence (advantageous)
- Reliable transport (recommended)
Technical Skills:
