About the Role
The Assistant General Worker provides essential on-site support to ensure smooth and safe daily operations. The role focuses on assisting site teams, maintaining cleanliness and safety in work areas, and supporting basic operational activities under supervision.
This position requires physical fitness, a strong commitment to safety, and a willingness to learn and take direction in a structured mining environment.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Support and Team Collaboration
The successful candidate will collaborate with site teams to support the achievement of daily operational goals and targets. This includes assisting with general site activities as required to maintain productivity and efficiency.
Inspections and Hazard Reporting
The role involves assisting with daily inspections of designated work areas, identifying potential hazards or deviations, and reporting these to site teams to ensure prompt corrective action.
Pipeline and Valve Assistance
Under supervision, the Assistant General Worker will support pipeline and valve operations, contributing to the safe and effective functioning of site infrastructure.
Housekeeping and Site Cleanliness
A key responsibility includes performing basic housekeeping duties to maintain clean, orderly, and safe work areas in line with site standards and SOPs.
Safety, Compliance, and Procedures
All tasks must be executed in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), company policies, and safety regulations. The role requires full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards at all times.
Minimum Requirements
Candidates applying for this position must meet the following requirements:

Grade 12 or equivalent qualification

Minimum 1 year relevant work experience
