Position Overview
Bidvest Prestige is seeking a highly organized and proactive Administrative Assistant to support the operations of the Germiston Distribution Centre (GDC).
This role is critical to ensuring efficient warehouse operations, accurate record-keeping, and smooth administrative workflows. The ideal candidate will possess strong clerical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Administrative Support

Provide clerical and administrative support to the warehouse management team.

Prepare and maintain reports, presentations, and business documents.

Monitor incoming and outgoing correspondence and communications.
2. Data & Record Management
-
Maintain accurate records, files, and documentation.
-
Assist with data entry and record-keeping.
-
Support inventory and operational reporting.
3. Office Coordination
-
Schedule meetings, appointments, and internal events.
-
Monitor office supplies and ensure timely reordering.
-
Perform general office tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and filing.
4. Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

Answer and direct phone calls professionally.

Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders effectively.

Support smooth operational workflows and ensure timely information flow.
Minimum Requirements
Education & Qualifications:
-
High school diploma / Matric Certificate or equivalent.
Experience:
-
Proven experience as an administrative assistant or office assistant.
-
Exposure to warehouse, logistics, or distribution environments is advantageous.

Familiarity with inventory management or operational systems is preferred.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
