Supervised Dispensing & Script Execution

Read, interpret, and prepare medical prescriptions under the direct personal supervision of a registered Pharmacist in compliance with SAPC regulations.

Capture patient script details accurately on Unisolv/SAP systems, verifying dosages, medicine picking, packing, and drug interaction risks.

Sell Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 medications, providing clear instructions to patients regarding proper dosage and administration.

Assist with compounding, manipulation, manufacturing, and re-packaging of non-sterile or sterile medicines according to approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Ensure every entry is checked for accuracy and signed off by a registered Pharmacist prior to final medicine dispensing.
Medical Aid Claims & Administrative Control

Submit electronic claims to medical schemes, resolving rejections and updating patient profile records timeously.

Obtain pre-authorizations for chronic, HIV, and oncology medications from scheme administrators.

Follow up on script tracking reports, manage patient profile merges (locally and via Vexall), and clarify medical aid co-payments to patients.
Dispensary Stock & Regulatory Compliance

Assist with stock control, ordering, receiving, and distribution of Schedule 1 through Schedule 5 medications.

Monitor stock levels, report low/out-of-stock items, and participate actively in bi-annual dispensary stock counts.

Uphold strict housekeeping, temperature monitoring for fridge stock, asset protection, and hygiene standards in accordance with SAPC and Dis-Chem rules.
Educational Qualifications & Registration
