About the Role

The Sourcing Coordinator: Packaging plays an integral analytical and operational support role within the procurement organization. Operating onsite at the Bryanston corporate office, the successful candidate will gather market trend data, maintain Zero-Based Budgeting (ZBB) commodity models, conduct RFQs, and oversee approved vendor list (AVL) master data within Oracle.

This position requires a high-performing procurement specialist with a solid understanding of FMCG packaging categories, database management, and supplier service level reporting.

Important Operational Requirements: Candidates should hold a Relevant Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, or Business, paired with 3+ years of practical procurement and sourcing experience in the FMCG sector (or a relevant procurement certificate with dedicated category experience). Strong proficiency in procurement systems like Oracle, ZBB cost modeling, and master data management is essential.

Sourcing Execution & RFQ Management

• Conduct selected Tiger Brands RFQs under the direct guidance of the Packaging Category Manager.

• Complete commodity Zero-Based Budgeting (ZBB) models (both manual and Oracle-based) and update system contracts and price quotations.

• Resolve plant pricing queries from manufacturing sites, including accurate system pricing setup for new raw or packaging items.

Master Data & Database Administration

• Maintain key category database metrics including material specifications, Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs), lead times, cover positions, contract details, and savings registers.

• Manage vendor portal data, updating Approved Vendor Lists (AVL), MRP supplier details, BEE statuses, contract statuses, supplier certifications, and material pricing matrices.

Supplier Performance & Market Intelligence

• Gather sourcing category market data, trend analysis, and benchmarking reports to empower strategic sourcing decision-making.

• Collaborate with manufacturing operations to collate supplier performance metrics and compile detailed Supplier Service Level (SLA) reports.

Educational Qualifications

• Relevant Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Commerce, or related field (Procurement certifications are advantageous).

Experience & Sector Knowledge

• 3+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or packaging category management within an FMCG environment.

• Practical experience working with procurement ERP systems (e.g., Oracle), cost management tools, and ZBB methodologies.
