About the Role

As a Workplace Experience Student, you will work closely with experienced Brand Managers to translate consumer and shopper insights into actionable marketing strategies. You will take ownership of daily administrative workflows, manage purchase orders (POs) and budget reconciliations, coordinate agency deliverables, and execute consumer-facing promotional campaigns. Completing this 12-month program prepares you to progress to higher-level brand management positions with a solid understanding of FMCG operations.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy & Consumer Promotions

Collaborate with Brand Managers to develop consumer and shopper insight-driven brand strategies.

Plan, coordinate, and execute consumer-facing brand promotional activities aligned with annual brand plans.

Manage day-to-day communication with approved marketing and advertising agencies to ensure deliverables meet brand standards and timelines.
Financial & Budget Management

Actively assist in category budget management by creating purchase orders (POs).

Maintain and update the monthly brand budget tracker and assist with budget reconciliations.

Track promotional expenditure to ensure projects stay within allocated financial parameters.
Operational Support & Work-Integrated Learning Project

Complete a designated Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) project assigned by your Line Manager alongside a cross-functional team.

Handle general administrative tasks to support the smooth operation of the Personal Care category team.

Identify operational bottlenecks and problem-solve daily brand management issues proactively.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Brand Management, Communication, or a related commercial field.

Official Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) requirement letter from your tertiary institution.
General Eligibility Criteria

Must be a South African Citizen with valid work authorization.

Must not have worked full-time in your field of study for more than 1 year.

Based in or willing to relocate to Isando, Gauteng for the duration of the 12-month contract.
