Core Duties & Responsibilities
The successful candidate will handle a varied portfolio of general repairs, routine site inspections, and physical terrain cleaning tasks to ensure the upkeep of military health buildings and grounds:
Structural Maintenance & Routine Inspections

Conduct regular unit inspections across facilities to actively identify infrastructure wear, safety risks, and physical defects.

Attend to minor electrical problems, including replacing blown light bulbs, securing basic fixtures, and reporting major faults to regional engineering teams.

Resolve minor plumbing issues, such as unblocking drains, fixing leaking taps, and keeping washrooms fully functional.

Handle minor carpentry work, including fixing doors, adjusting hinges, and aligning window frames.

Maintain and repair broken office equipment and furniture, extending the lifespan of state property.

Report major structural defects and safety issues promptly to supervisors for formal technical intervention.

Ensure the safekeeping of maintenance tools, diagnostic kits, and workshop supplies, keeping inventory safe from loss or misuse.
Terrain Upkeep & Ground Management

Load and unload various items, equipment, building materials, and physical components required for maintenance projects across the facility grounds.

Remove refuse and waste products systematically from the unit’s immediate terrain to keep the area hygienic.

Load waste material onto transport trucks for formal relocation to municipal dumps, or burn refuse safely within designated, compliant zones.

Minimum Appointment Requirements
