Job Summary

We are looking for reliable and friendly Delivery Drivers to join our team. Your main job will be to pick up food parcels and groceries and deliver them to customers safely and on time. You will be the face of Zulzi, so a great attitude is a must!

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver Orders: Pick up and deliver groceries to customers safely and on time.
• Take Care of Goods: Handle all food and products carefully so they arrive in perfect condition.
• Be Professional: Speak politely to customers and store staff.
• Keep Things Clean: Keep your vehicle clean and follow hygiene rules.
• Follow the Rules: Obey all traffic laws and follow company policies.
• Use the App: Use the Zulzi smartphone app to get and manage your delivery jobs.
• Report Issues: Quickly tell the team about any accidents, delays, or problems.

Job Requirements

To apply for this role, you will need:

• Vehicle: Your own reliable car or motorbike.
• Device Requirement: A compatible smartphone to run the Zulzi driver application. Please note: The application strictly requires a standard Android device. Due to system compatibility issues, iPhones and Huawei devices cannot be used.
• Documents:
  • A valid South African Driver’s Licence (Code A/A1 for motorbikes or Code B for cars).
  • A Traffic Register Number (if you are a foreign national).
  • A valid ID, Passport, or Asylum Document.
  • Proof of residence (like a utility bill) that is less than 3 months old.
• Vehicle Papers: A valid vehicle license disk and a roadworthy certificate.
• Banking: An active bank account in your name (with proof of account).
• Background Checks: A clean driving record and a clean criminal record (you must agree to a background check).
• Skills: Good communication skills and the ability to use a smartphone for GPS/navigation.
• Equipment: You must have a phone mount and a power bank/charger. (Note: Zulzi will provide a helmet and reflective jacket for motorbike drivers).

💡 Note: Having past experience as a delivery driver or courier is a plus, but not required!

Hiring & Interview Process

• Hiring Timeline: The entire onboarding and hiring process takes a total of three (3) days from the initial application review to activation.
• Interview Appearance and Hygiene Standards:
• ⚠️ Strict Requirement: Candidates attending the interview must be well-presented and adhere to the highest personal hygiene standards. Because our drivers handle fresh food and interact directly with customers, maintaining a clean and professional appearance is mandatory. Failure to meet these grooming and hygiene standards will result in immediate disqualification and automatic rejection.

Additional Notes

• Flexible Hours: You must be willing to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Check Verification: We will check and verify all your documents before hiring you.
• Training: If chosen, you must attend a short training and orientation session before you can start working.
