Key Responsibilities of an SDR / Appointment Setter

Outbound Prospecting & Cold Calling

  • Make 100+ outbound calls daily to business decision-makers across the United States.
  • Follow structured outbound scripts and appointment-setting workflows while maintaining a natural, conversational tone.
  • Conduct consultative conversations around payroll and HR benchmarking with business owners and decision-makers.
  • Qualify leads and identify businesses open to evaluating their current payroll or HR provider.
  • Schedule qualified meetings for payroll, PEO, and ASO partner providers across the US.

CRM & Pipeline Management

  • Accurately track call activity, notes, and appointment outcomes in CRM systems after every interaction.
  • Maintain organised records of all outreach and prospect engagement throughout the pipeline.
  • Follow established outreach cadences and SOPs consistently and without deviation.
  • Ensure all CRM data is current, accurate, and actionable for the wider team at all times.

Client & Partner Representation

  • Professionally represent multiple payroll and HR provider partners across all prospect interactions.
