Key Responsibilities
📈 Sales Strategy & Financial Performance
- Develop and implement sales strategies tailored to the Silverlakes market to consistently meet and exceed branch financial targets.
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance against set targets and take corrective action where required.
- Analyse sales reports and market trends to forecast future demand, identify growth opportunities, and inform strategic decisions.
- Drive upselling and cross-selling across the product range to maximise revenue per customer transaction.
- Report on branch financial performance to senior management, providing accurate and timely insights.
💰 Budget Management & Cost Control
- Take full accountability for managing the branch budget, ensuring all expenditure is justified, tracked, and within approved limits.
- Control branch expenses rigorously, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising on service quality or operational efficiency.
- Monitor inventory costs and work closely with the stock control function to minimise shrinkage, wastage, and overstock situations.
- Ensure all financial processes are carried out in compliance with company policies and procedures.
📦 Stock Control & Inventory Management
- Oversee all stock control operations at branch level, including receiving, storage, replenishment, and stocktaking.
- Maintain optimal stock levels to meet customer demand without over-committing working capital.
- Implement and enforce inventory management procedures to minimise shrinkage and ensure accurate stock records at all times.
- Liaise with the procurement and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of stock to the branch.
👥 Team Leadership & People Management
- Recruit, onboard, and develop branch staff in line with Adendorff’s employment equity commitments and people development strategy.
- Set clear performance expectations for all team members and conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions.

- Manage staff scheduling, leave, and disciplinary matters in accordance with applicable labour legislation and company policy.

- Ensure the branch consistently delivers an outstanding customer experience across all touchpoints — from the shop floor to the point of sale.
- Handle escalated customer complaints with professionalism and resolve issues in a manner that protects the Adendorff brand.
- Oversee all administrative and managerial duties of the branch, including compliance, reporting, and operational documentation.
- Maintain branch presentation standards including merchandising, cleanliness, signage, and stock display in line with company guidelines.

Minimum Requirements
Educational Qualifications
- Senior Certificate (Matric / Grade 12) — minimum requirement.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Business Management, Retail Management, or a related field will be advantageous.
Experience
- Proven management experience in a retail, tools, machinery, automotive, engineering, or hardware environment — essential.
