About the Role

The Salesperson will be responsible for driving sales performance by engaging customers, understanding their automotive needs, and delivering suitable product solutions. This role requires a proactive and knowledgeable individual who can exceed sales targets while maintaining strong customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities of a Salesperson

Customer Engagement & Sales

  • Act as the first point of contact, delivering professional and confident customer service.
  • Manage counter sales and maximise customer potential.
  • Handle inbound customer sales inquiries and provide accurate product information.
  • Conduct cold calling when necessary to generate new business.

Sales Performance & Targets

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets set by management.
  • Generate new business and grow the existing customer base.
  • Increase market share within the assigned geographical area.

Sales Planning & Reporting

Minimum Requirements – Salesperson

Education:

  • Matric — essential

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a sales environment within spares, motor, or engine industry — essential
  • Extensive automotive sales experience dealing with customer needs — essential
  • Proven sales track record — essential

Technical Knowledge:

  • In-depth product knowledge — essential
  • Technical background — desirable
  • Understanding of business costs and breakeven scenarios — advantageous
