Purpose of the Job

The Store Manager is responsible for protecting and growing profitable market share within the store by implementing company strategy, managing staff performance, and ensuring operational excellence.

This role ensures the store operates efficiently, meets sales targets, maintains high customer service standards, and complies with company policies and safety regulations.


Key Responsibilities of a Store Manager

Strategic Store Management

  • Develop and implement store business strategies aligned with company goals

Customer Service & Experience

Health & Safety Compliance (OHSA)

  • Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations
  • Investigate and report incidents and risks
  • Maintain a safe working environment for staff and customers

Minimum Requirements – Store Manager

To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following:

Education:

  • Grade 12 (Matric)

Experience:

  • 3–5 years retail management experience
    OR
  • 5 years relevant retail management experience

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong leadership and business acumen
  • Computer literacy (basic level)
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Valid driver’s licence (advantageous)
  • Own transport preferred
