Position:- 3× FEL Operator
Company:- African Mining and Crushing SA (Pty) Ltd
Location: Tshipi, Northern Cape
Summary of Role: Responsible for managing the trucks for loading and unloading, filling hoppers and bins throughout the plant, ensuring that the plant runs smoothly and materials are managed safely.
Duties and Responsibilities:-
-Operating the FEL appropriately and according to company standards.
-Various ad-hoc tasks as required by the nature of our work Environment Plant.
-Ensure that all Front-End Loader pre-shift checks are done.
-Ensure Key Control and Risk assessments are done and signed off by supervisor.
-Operator to report all defects and unsafe condition to his/her supervisor.
-Check the engine fan belt, timing belt and alternator bell for tension, wear and tear.
-Check the water level in the radiator.
-Check the radiator and oil cooler for leaks and cleanliness.
-Check the engine and hydraulic system for any oil leaks.
-Grease the pins and bushes before working.
-Clean all windows, glass,and light lenses. Check that all lights are working.
-Check battery terminal connections.
-Make sure that the hooter is working. -Preservation of Machine Hygiene.
-Inspect and prepare loading area if required.
-Ensuresufficientfeed material is available and report to supervisor should feed material be insufficient.
-Ensure minimum spillage during loading or feeding activities
-Ensure no contamination occurs due to operator negligence.
Requirements:-
-Grade 10.
-Valid FEL license and competency certificate.
-3 years’ experience operating the FEL. ideally working in a mining environment.
-Valid Driver’s license.
-Basic communication skills(written and oral). -Ability to work in a team, Problem Solving Skills.
-Ability to work a varied schedule under diverse conditions and accordingto sometimes stringenttime schedules. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
