Core Values We Look For in an Administration Officer II

✅ Analytical Rigour & Accuracy

Operational decisions in logistics depend on accurate data. We value Administration Officers who interrogate the numbers carefully, identify what the data is actually saying, and ensure their reports are always reliable.

✅ Proactive Problem-Solving

Variances don’t resolve themselves. We need an Administration Officer who spots an issue, investigates the cause, and takes or recommends corrective action — without waiting to be told.

✅ Deadline Discipline

Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting cycles are fixed. We value team members who manage their workload proactively and consistently deliver quality reports on time, even during high-pressure operational periods.

✅ Accountability & Ownership

This role carries real responsibility for the accuracy of operational performance data used by depot and contract managers. We value people who take full ownership of their outputs and stand behind the quality of their work.

✅ Communication & Stakeholder Support

Supporting depot and contract managers with data insights requires clear, accessible communication. We value Administration Officers who can present complex operational data in a way that is useful and understandable to operational stakeholders.

Career Growth Opportunities in Logistics Administration

A fixed-term contract role at Unitrans Petroleum is an excellent opportunity to build experience and demonstrate capability in a large logistics organisation. Strong performers in fixed-term roles are frequently considered for permanent opportunities:

  • Senior Administrator → Operations Coordinator / Logistics Analyst
  • Logistics Analyst → Operations Manager / Contract Manager Support
  • Operations Manager → Regional Operations Manager

Unitrans is one of South Africa’s largest transport and logistics businesses — performance in fixed-term roles regularly leads to permanent career opportunities across the group.
