Pedros Flame Grilled Chicken is recruiting a Griller for its high-performing and busy Pinecrest store in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. Purpose of the Role
The Griller is responsible for preparing and grilling menu items according to company recipes and operational standards. The role ensures consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control while maintaining fast service delivery.
The position contributes directly to store performance by supporting kitchen production efficiency, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction through quality food preparation.
Key Responsibilities
The Griller will prepare, season, and grill chicken and other menu items according to approved company recipes and preparation procedures. Accuracy in food preparation is essential to maintain brand quality standards.
Monitoring cooking temperatures, cooking times, and portion control is required to ensure consistent product quality. The candidate must follow operational cooking procedures to maintain food safety and taste consistency.
Ensuring food quality, taste, and presentation meet brand standards is a core responsibility. The Griller must check food quality before serving to customers.
Daily equipment checks must be conducted to ensure that grills, cooking equipment, and kitchen tools are functioning correctly. Any equipment faults must be reported to management immediately.
Maintaining strict hygiene and food safety standards is mandatory. The Griller must follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Stock rotation using the FIFO (First In First Out) method must be applied to minimise food waste and maintain product freshness.
Cleaning grills, workstations, utensils, and cooking surfaces regularly is required to maintain operational hygiene standards.
The candidate will assist with stock counts and ingredient preparation to support kitchen production workflows.
Supporting kitchen operations during peak trading periods is essential. The candidate must be able to work quickly while maintaining quality standards.

Minimum Requirements
