About the Graduate Programme

The objective of the Finance Graduate Programme is to develop finance professionals who understand not only accounting principles, but also the strategic integration of finance within a large corporate structure.

Participants will gain exposure to financial reporting, budgeting processes, risk assessment, and financial strategy alignment with corporate objectives. Graduates will also be introduced to Sun International’s financial policies, procedures, compliance standards, and internal financial tools.

The programme offers a balanced combination of structured learning and practical, on-the-job experience. Graduates will engage in workshops focused on financial compliance, ethics, and the strategic role of finance within the organisation.

In addition, participants will shadow key finance personnel, providing valuable insight into executive-level financial management and decision-making processes.

Programme Structure and Rotations

The graduate programme includes rotations across multiple sub-units to ensure comprehensive exposure to various finance disciplines. Graduates will rotate through:

Finance
Internal Audit
Commercial & Compliance
Fraud Risk

This structured rotation allows graduates to gain practical exposure to core finance operations, risk management frameworks, governance processes, and compliance standards within a large corporate gaming and hospitality group.

By participating in these rotations, graduates will develop a broad understanding of financial systems, audit processes, regulatory compliance, and fraud risk management. This experience equips participants with the skills required to navigate complex financial environments and contribute strategically to business objectives.

The programme is designed to prepare graduates to handle the challenges of a professional finance and accounting career within Sun International.

Job Purpose

The purpose of the role is to develop finance graduates who can contribute to Sun International’s financial sustainability and long-term strategic planning.

Graduates will support financial analysis, budgeting, reporting, and compliance functions while gaining exposure to business performance measurement and operational governance.

Through structured mentorship and real-world exposure, participants will build the analytical, ethical, and strategic capabilities required in modern finance environments.

Minimum Education Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric is required.

A completed 3-Year Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) in Accounting is required.

Candidates must have completed their qualification and demonstrate a strong academic foundation in accounting and finance.
