Position Overview

AFGRI is seeking a Parts Salesperson to join their Winterton branch in KwaZulu-Natal. This is an excellent permanent opportunity for an individual with strong customer service abilities, product knowledge, and administrative accuracy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing over-the-counter parts sales, maintaining stock availability, ensuring accurate documentation, and creating a positive client experience. Key Responsibilities

As the Parts Salesperson, your responsibilities will include:

1. Parts Sales & Customer Service

  • Manage over-the-counter sales of agricultural equipment parts.

  • Assist customers by identifying correct parts needed and offering product expertise.

  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external clients.

  • Address customer queries and complaints promptly and professionally.

2. Stock Management & Inventory Control

  • Order and replenish stock based on branch procedures to ensure consistent availability.

  • Conduct frequent stock counts and assist with general stocktaking.

  • Ensure proper stock rotation between new and older inventory items.

  • Maintain stock in a clean, safe, and organised condition.

3. Administration, Finance & Compliance

  • Responsible for accurate cash balancing and reconciliation.

  • Process sales, returns, and customer account payments (cash, card, etc.) in line with company procedures.

  • Ensure timely processing of customer accounts and invoices.

  • Comply with safety and legislative requirements, including risk management protocols.


Minimum Requirements

To qualify, candidates must meet the following:

Education & Training

  • Grade 12 (Matric)

Work Experience

  • Minimum 1 year experience in sales and administration

  • Essential: Previous experience in Parts Sales (preferably agricultural or mechanical parts)


Core Competencies & Technical Skills

Technical Knowledge

  • Strong product knowledge of equipment parts

  • Computer literacy, especially MS Office

  • Valid Driverโ€™s License

Behavioural Competencies

  • High accuracy and attention to detail

  • Neat, presentable, and professional

  • Strong customer orientation

  • Punctual and reliable

  • Good communication skills (verbal & written)

  • Fast learner with basic selling skills

  • Demonstrates integrity and good conduct
