Permanent Workshop Administration Opportunity at AFGRI Equipment

AFGRI Equipment is seeking to appoint a Workshop Admin Clerk on a permanent basis at its Standerton, Mpumalanga branch. This role is ideal for an organised and detail-oriented individual with basic workshop administration experience and strong communication skills.

The successful candidate will support workshop operations through accurate administration, financial processing, and effective coordination with both internal teams and external service providers.


About the Role

The Workshop Admin Clerk will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day workshop administration and communication. The role focuses on job card management, invoicing, vendor coordination, banking duties, and compliance documentation, ensuring the workshop operates efficiently and in line with AFGRI Equipment standards.


Key Responsibilities

Workshop Administration and Documentation

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and managing job cards, preparing pro-forma invoices linked to job cards, and generating orders for external vendors. Accurate record-keeping and attention to detail are essential to support smooth workshop operations.


Financial and Compliance Administration

This role includes the responsibility for completing daily bank deposits and ensuring that the workshop risk file (GMR) is kept up to date, with all required forms correctly completed and signed off in accordance with company procedures.


Client and Stakeholder Communication

The Workshop Admin Clerk will build and maintain sound working relationships with both internal and external clients. This includes responding to and resolving client queries promptly while ensuring professional and effective communication at all times.


Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Grade 12

  • Minimum of 6 months’ relevant working experience


Technical Knowledge and Competencies

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

  • Basic knowledge of workshop administration

  • Computer literacy (MS Office)

  • Understanding of parts and maintenance items to be ordered
