Purpose of the Role
The Store Person is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service in the Drive-Thru Yard and gas department — maintaining professional stock display, managing gas availability and cylinder filling, keeping the yard clean and safe, accurately loading customer vehicles, and managing stock discrepancies — ensuring zero stock losses and consistently satisfied internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities – Store Person
Gas Management & Cylinder Filling
- Ensure gas availability and accurate Stock on Hand (SOH) levels in the gas department — monitoring stock levels and initiating replenishment before shortages occur.
- Process all cylinder filling for customers — filling LPG cylinders accurately, safely, and in compliance with gas safety regulations and Brights Hardware’s standard operating procedures.
- Check CFCs (Cylinder Filling Controls) on a daily basis — maintaining the accuracy and compliance of all cylinder filling records and controls.
Merchandising & Display
- Maintain a neat and professional display of gas and yard department stock — ensuring all products are correctly positioned, clearly visible, and easily accessible to customers.
- Ensure that building material and yard stock is correctly presented — maintaining the professional appearance and operational accessibility of the Drive-Thru Yard at all times.
Yard Maintenance & Safety
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised yard environment — ensuring aisles are clear, accessible, and free from hazards at all times.
- Remove hazards and damaged products from stands and surrounding areas — maintaining a safe working and shopping environment for customers, staff, and delivery vehicles.
- Adhere to all housekeeping standards, safety protocols, and company operating procedures throughout the working day.
Customer Service & Vehicle Loading
- Provide exceptional customer service — responding to customer enquiries and resolving issues professionally, helpfully, and timeously.

Stock Management & Inventory

Qualification — One of the Following
