Position Overview

Pedros is seeking an experienced Store Manager to oversee the operations of its restaurant/take-away in Cape Town. The successful candidate will ensure that all operational, financial, and customer service objectives are met while leading, developing, and motivating the store team.

This role is ideal for a professional with strong leadership skills, operational knowledge of the QSR or fast-food industry, and a customer-focused approach.


Key Responsibilities

Store Operations

  • Oversee the overall operation of the restaurant/take-away according to Pedros standards.

  • Ensure quality standards of food and SOPs are consistently maintained.

  • Manage stock control, purchasing, and inventory to optimise efficiency.

  • Handle customer complaints and maintain high levels of customer service.

  • Maximise profitability and achieve sales and GP% targets.

  • Ensure daily opening and closing procedures are completed accurately.

Staff Leadership & Development

  • Manage, train, and motivate store staff to achieve productivity and profitability goals.

  • Conduct regular staff meetings, performance evaluations, and structured training programmes.

  • Lead recruitment, selection, and onboarding of new team members.

  • Ensure compliance with disciplinary procedures and work rosters.

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in-store.

  • Promote a safe and hygienic working environment for staff and customers.

Marketing & Customer Engagement

  • Support in-store promotional and incentive programmes.

  • Manage customer service relations to resolve complaints promptly and professionally.

  • Monitor and implement marketing activities to drive customer engagement and sales.


Minimum Requirements

Essential:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in restaurant or fast-food management.

  • Strong management and organisational skills.

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

  • Ability to lead a team and meet operational targets.

  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.

Advantageous:

  • Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and financial management.

  • Experience in QSR or retail food operations.
