Purpose of the Role

Equipment Receipt & Issue
- Ensure that all equipment and goods are received correctly and in good condition — inspecting all incoming items against delivery documentation and checking physical condition before accepting into store.
- Complete the register for equipment received and issued — maintaining accurate, current records of all items entering and leaving the store in accordance with DOD stores management requirements.
- Provide a productive service regarding store equipment — ensuring all base personnel and units receive their required items promptly and correctly.
Fire Safety Compliance
- Be familiar with the prescribed Fire Order (DD19) in store — knowing and applying the DOD’s official fire safety order for store environments.
- Be familiar with the use of fire extinguishing apparatus — maintaining readiness to respond correctly to any fire emergency in the store.
Ad Hoc Store Tasks
- Execute all ad hoc store tasks as issued by order — responding flexibly to all additional stores duties directed by the supervisor.
