Purpose of the Role
The Senior Sales Support role drives sales efficiency and customer satisfaction by providing high-level administrative, operational, and analytical support to the KZN sales team. The incumbent is the key link between KZN sales, operations, and management — ensuring seamless coordination of sales activities, accurate CRM data, precise pipeline reporting, compliant proposal and tender submissions, and effective client communication throughout the full sales cycle.
This is a demanding, high-accountability position that combines executive PA support to the General Manager with sales process ownership, proposal quality control, team training, and project coordination.
Key Responsibilities – Senior Sales Support
General Manager Administrative Support
- Manage the General Manager – Sales KZN’s calendar, schedule meetings, and coordinate all appointments efficiently and proactively.
- Oversee and prioritise incoming emails and correspondence on behalf of the General Manager — ensuring nothing is missed and responses are timeous.
- Prepare all meeting materials, agendas, and minutes — and track all follow-up actions to completion.
- Book travel and accommodation for the team and management as required.
- Follow up with HR on the status of interviewed candidates and recruitment processes.
- Handle all confidential information with absolute discretion and professionalism.
Sales Performance Tracking & Pipeline Management
- Track sales performance per individual sales consultant and per division — providing management with accurate, current visibility of revenue performance against targets.
- Manage and maintain the sales pipeline and pipeline reporting, including weekly forecast consolidation for the KZN division.
- Assign leads to the sales team and maintain a consolidated leads tracker for management review.
- Coordinate sales team leave requests for approval prior to loading — ensuring adequate team coverage at all times.
Team & Project Support
- Maintain and update team action trackers to monitor progress against key deliverables and deadlines.
- Consolidate focus areas and team updates to support effective management decision-making.
- Delegate and follow up on tasks across the sales team as directed by the General Manager.
- Coordinate and track divisional projects, ensuring all deadlines are met on time.
- Prepare rental calculations for the sales team as required.
- Provide training to new and existing staff on divisional CRM systems, PowerPoint presentations, costing methodology, maintenance calculations, and proposal preparation.
Sales, Proposal & Tender Support
- Prepare, review, and assist with the submission of tender documentation — ensuring all content is accurate, complete, and compliant with client requirements.
- Consolidate and format proposals, white papers, and presentations for client submissions.
- Prepare and format all sales documentation — including quotations, costings, and full security solution proposals.
- Check each proposal against the costing sheet and supplier quotes to verify accuracy before every submission — zero-error tolerance.
- Review every file and job for the sales team to confirm that all required documentation (contracts, scope of work, calculations) is correct and complete prior to submission.
- Prepare both internal and external PowerPoint presentations to a professional standard.
- Manage the asset register for the KZN sales team.
General Administration
- Organise and maintain electronic filing systems, ensuring all key documents are accurately filed and easily retrievable.

Educational Qualifications
