Position Overview
The Senior Administration Officer: Operations will administer and supervise Unemployment Insurance Services, provide quality assurance on claims, and ensure efficient processing of UI applications. Officers will also manage resources, reporting, and compliance within their assigned Labour Centre.
Key Responsibilities
-
Provide Unemployment Insurance Services to clients.
-
Administer UI claims and process applications in line with legislation.
-
Conduct quality assurance and follow-up on processed claims.
-
Supervise human, financial, and equipment resources within the section.
-
Ensure compliance with Batho Pele Principles and Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
-
Maintain records and reports related to UI claims and operational activities.
Minimum Requirements
Education & Qualifications:
-
Undergraduate degree in Operations Management, Public Management, Administration, Business Administration, Management, Financial Accounting, or Finance (NQF Level 6).

Valid driverβs license.
Experience & Skills:
-
Minimum 2 years functional experience in client service, claims processing, or operations within insurance or labour environments.

Knowledge of Unemployment Insurance Act and Regulations (UIA), Unemployment Insurance Contributions Act (UICA), departmental policies, and UI operations systems.

Skills: Interpersonal, presentation, listening, verbal and written communication, computer literacy, problem-solving, planning, and organizing.
