Key Duties and Responsibilities
The Security Officers appointed will perform critical frontline and supervisory functions across the department’s head office security infrastructure.
1. Supervising Security Service Delivery

Lead daily operations and ensure all access control points are staffed and functioning effectively

Oversee compliance with security procedures, policies, and departmental standards

Monitor officers’ performance and shift presence to ensure uninterrupted protection

Manage daily reporting, shift briefings, and operational follow-ups
Effective supervision ensures the department remains compliant with the Minimum Information Security Standards (MISS) and maintains continuous operational readiness.
2. Supporting Administration of Security Services

Maintain accurate security registers and operational logs

Assist with management of incident reports, access documentation, and compliance files

Record all irregularities and support investigative follow-ups where required

Ensure that comprehensive documentation is available for audits, briefings, or internal reviews

3. Preparing and Managing Duty Rosters

Schedule guards and supervisors across shifts, buildings, and access points

Ensure adequate coverage during staff absences, emergencies, or increased security demands

4. Supervising Security Personnel
