Position Overview
The Security Checker – BUCO Sea Point is responsible for safeguarding the store, preventing theft, and ensuring that all goods leaving the premises are accurately checked. This role is critical to reducing losses, maintaining safety, and supporting smooth store operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Check all goods leaving the shop or yard for accuracy.
- Inspect sales and returns and ensure correct processing.
- Obtain signatures from credit customers where required.
- Manage cash payments from customers accurately.
- Maintain a professional image at all times.
- Report any suspicious behaviour immediately.
- Monitor and control vehicle movement in and out of the premises.
- Complete visitor logs daily and manage boom gates.
- Uphold and promote The Building Company’s values and culture.
Job Requirements
- Education: Grade 12
- Experience: Minimum 1 year relevant experience in hardware or retail security
